Mohali : Chief Sevadar of Shiromani Akali Dal Mohali Constituency Parvinder Singh Sohana today strongly condemned the Aam Aadmi Party’s decision to increase electricity, petrol diesel rates by the Punjab government as presenting a gift to the people of Punjab on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. Sohana said that the Punjab government has taken this anti-people decision and has left the people of Punjab in the lurch.
Parvinder Singh Sohana said that the Shiromani Akali Dal government always took decisions in the interest of the people and gave full respect to the employees, but during the two-and-a-half-year rule of the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab, dharnas are also being continuously started by the employees and the common people have also completely lost their faith in this party. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has made the people’s life miserable by increasing the electricity rates by three rupees per unit and VAT on petrol and diesel by 61 paise and 92 paise per liter respectively. He said that this will increase inflation and the Aam Aadmi Party government is preparing to rob the pockets of the common people, which should be condemned at all levels.
Sohana said that the truth is that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab is only a puppet government which works on the behests of Delhi while the Shiromani Akali Dal is the only party which is a regional party with the slogan of Punjabi Punjabi and Punjabiyat and takes decisions in favor of people.
