Panchkula : Aam Aadmi Party leader Prem Garg who is Chartered Accountant by profession while speaking to The Aman Sandesh Times today shared few of his prominent issues during the conversation.
More emphasis was given to Rajiv Colony in Panchkula by Prem Garg, where he shared that the condition of this colony is very bad, during rains water enters the houses and how people are facing problems.
Talking to The Aman Sandesh Times, Prem Garg said that the rainy season is going on but no proper arrangements have been made by the Administration and assured that Proper arrangements for drainage of water will be made on priority by him which have not been made by the Administration and the Municipal Corporation till date and added that due to this, after the rain water filled the underpass, it overflowed and people’s houses were filled with rain water up to 3 feet. Due to rain water entering the house, valuables of the residents got damaged. Beds, sofas, fridges and washing machines drowned. He said that the condition of the colony is so bad that recently on Sunday at least 3-4 feet of water accumulated and entered the houses that people had to keep their beds and other belongings on the roof of their houses. Not only this, the roofs of people’s houses are also falling and people are forced to keep their belongings on the debris.
Along with all this, AAP Leader Garg said that in Rajiv Colony, the drain water also overflows and enters the houses. People also fear the spread of disease due to mosquitoes breeding in contaminated water. According to the local people, they complained about this to the authorities several times, but no solution has been found and he assures a permanent solution to the problem.
Along with all this, Prem Garg also talked about the city’s por garbage system and mentioned that there are piles of garbage everywhere. The litter is not being picked up every day, due to which there is always a bad smell. Due to lack of regular garbage collection, the cleanliness system in the city is in bad condition. There are heaps of garbage at many places in the city.
While talking, Prem Garg also mentioned the bad condition of the Industrial Area. The condition of some of the roads is such that it does not seem as if they are the roads of Panchkula city but it seems as if they are a part of some backward town. People are troubled due to dilapidated roads, jammed roads and streets during rains, slow water supply and lack of sewerage cleaning. Due to this, traders and industrialists are constantly facing problems. On behalf of the traders and industrialists, there is a continuous demand from the administration and Municipal Corporation to fix the basic facilities, but till now it has not been fixed.
Due to this, large number of traders and industrialists are facing continuous problems as business is being affected.
Prem Garg says that people living in Rajiv Colony should be given plots. So that some work can be done by removing the colony there and people can get their homes. With this, by working there, revenue will also come and people will not have to live in dirt.
With all this, when Prem Garg was asked about contesting the elections, he said that he wants to contest the elections from Panchkula and if he contests the elections and wins, then he will pay attention to the issues and resolve these issues as soon as possible.
