ED raids AAP MP Sanjeev Arora’s house in Punjab in money laundering case

The Aman Sandesh Times

New Delhi : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today conducted raids on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora’s home in connection with a money laundering case linked to a land fraud.
According to sources, the raids were conducted at several locations linked to Arora in Punjab’s Jalandhar district under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and are linked to a land fraud case.
The allegations against Arora include transferring land to his company in a deceitful manner.
Speaking to the media after the raids, AAP MP said, “I am a law-abiding citizen, am not sure about the reason for the search operation, will cooperate fully with agencies and make sure all their queries are answered.”
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia posted on X that the raids against their MP, also a businessman, are an attempt to break up their party.
But AAP members will not stop, not get sold and not get scared, he said.
“… The ED is raiding the house of Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora. In the last two years, they have raided Arvind Kejriwal’s house, my house, Sanjay Singh’s house, Satyendra Jain’s house… nothing was found anywhere. But Modiji’s agencies are engaged with full dedication in making fake cases one after the other. These people will go to any extent to break the Aam Aadmi Party. But no matter how much they try, the Aam Aadmi Party people will neither stop, nor sell themselves, nor get scared,” Sisodia said.
AAP leader and Sanjeev Arora’s Rajya Sabha colleague Sanjay Singh said that raids on the 61-year-old leader cannot break the “the courage of Aam Aadmi Party leaders.”
“Another morning, another raid. ED officials reached AAP MP Sanjeev Arora’s house. Modiji’s fake case-making machine is after the Aam Aadmi Party 24 hours a day. The Supreme Court has also reprimanded them several times to stop filing false cases, but still, ED is not understanding.
