Jalalabad : The police of Jalalabad Sadar police station of Fazilka district have arrested the leader of Akali Dal in a case of fraud, who is accused of cheating about 9 lakh rupees on the pretext of getting a job. It is being told that Malkit Singh Hira is accused of cheating a young man of about 9 lakh rupees by pretending to get him a job in the Punjab Police, in which the police have registered a case. Police remand will be obtained by presenting in court.
Giving information, police chief Balkar Singh said that the police had registered a case 173/23 in this regard, in which Bhajan Das, son of Laxman Das, a resident of village Gariba Sundar, had alleged that his son Sandeep Singh was working as a constable in the Punjab Police. The police have produced the accused in the court in the case of cheating of about 9 lakh rupees in the name of Malkit Singh Hira and his son. After obtaining police remand, inquiries will be made as to where is the money found in this case and where is his son.
After this, the police has arrested the accused Malkit Singh Hira, who is being produced in the court, where he will be questioned after obtaining police remand. Let it be known that Malkit Singh Hira had contested the Jalalabad Assembly elections on the Congress ticket in 2012, after which he remained in the Congress for a long time.
