Panchkula : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Panchkula Assembly Constituency Prem Garg humbly accepted the results of the recently held elections and reiterated his unwavering faith in the democratic process and public opinion.
In a statement to the media, AAP leader Garg said, “I humbly accept the verdict of the people of Panchkula. Public opinion is supreme in a democracy, and I respect the decision of the voters. I heartily congratulate Shri Chander Mohan on his victory and stated that he and his team worked hard and made our presence felt in Panchkula, but unlike Punjab, Delhi and Chandigarh, Aam Aadmi Party could not garner favourable support for itself this time. People have reposed faith in the traditional parties—Congress and BJP.”
Garg also admitted that his team faced a lot of challenges in terms of resources and manpower as compared to the bigger parties. “From the very beginning we were realistic about our limited resources compared to the Congress and the BJP. Still, we made every effort to reach out to as many people as possible by going door-to-door and I am thankful to all those who put their faith in me and supported our efforts,” he said.
Irrespective of the results, Garg reiterated his commitment to the development and welfare of Panchkula. He thanked his supporters, volunteers and voters who participated in his campaign. “This election has been a valuable experience for me, and I will continue to remain fully dedicated to serving the people of Panchkula,” stated Prem Garg.
